Sealers:
Initial Sealing:
- All natural stone, as well as all grout, should be sealed with 2 coats of a high quality sealer such as Fila floor care products after installation.
- After grouting, it is recommended you wait at least 72 hours before sealing in order for the grout to properly cure and any excess moisture to evaporate.
- The floor area must be completely clean and dry before applying any sealer.
- Your sealer should be chosen based upon what look you are trying to achieve as well as what type of stone you have.
- It is recommended to use a natural bristle paintbrush, Fila lambs wool applicator, paint roller, or low pressure pump sprayer with a fan tip to apply the sealer products.

Resealing:
- Resealing is recommended approximately every 3-5 years in a residential application and every 2 years in a commercial application with Fila floor care products depending upon the area in which the stone is installed. Exterior areas and steam showers should be resealed every year.
- The best way to tell if your stone needs to be resealed is if water is no longer beading on its surface. If water is soaking into the stone quickly, then your sealer is no longer doing its job and the stone is susceptible to other liquids soaking in.
- Before resealing, the entire area should be washed following the cleaning instructions and let dry out completely for at least 24- 48 hrs. Immediately prior to sealing, vacuum up any loose dust/debris. You do not want to seal any moisture or debris in.
Cleaners:
Regular Maintenance:
- Vacuum the floor if needed to remove any gravel or loose debris.
- Add a capful of Fila Neutral Cleaner and warm water to first compartment of the Fila Bucket.
- Apply water and neutral cleaner solution to the floor with your Fila Lambs wool Applicator.
- Soak up dirty water and squeeze out into second compartment of the Fila Bucket. Repeat across the entire area, no rinsing necessary.
Deep Cleaning/ Heavy Duty Maintenance:
Follow steps 1-3, then:
- Agitate cleaner and water solution with a deck brush for deep cleaning.
- After agitation, extract the solution with a wet vac.
- If necessary repeat using just water.
Other Maintenance:
- FilaBrio is a neutral spray for everyday cleaning of counter tops, tables, etc... Just spray on and wipe with a cloth or sponge.
- Follow instructions on back of container/ Fila marketing booklet for each product as they are
specific to removing certain stains/ cleaning certain types of stone.
* Only use neutral cleaners on natural stone products, do not use any aggressive harsh cleaners or general all purpose cleaners, especially those that contain bleach, ammonia, or vinegar as these types of products can adversely affect or limit the life of your sealer.
